I was reared at Ollerton in the 30,40,50s and my first job was at the No 8 branch cooperative society Ollerton from 1946 to 1950.

i am trying to find out who was peter smith of ollerton,I know he was a corndealer and carrier ,he hs a road named after him Petersmith drive the wooden bridge dow maida lane is also called petersmiths bridge and he lived in a large handsome house on maida lane in the 1800,s but i cannot find out anything about him as yet? I come from ollerton originally and this intriges me and would be very happy if anyone knows anything about this man! was he married had he any children or other family? was he born in ollerton?how and when did he die? thankyou janice matthewman
